Elite Athlete Assessment

We offer extended consultations to professional and elite athletes with Luke Anthony and Alan Hazlett. Luke has been the head of medical at several professional football clubs and has worked in professional rugby and cricket. Alan has extensive experience working within Olympic Sport and working with the intensive rehabilitation unit at Bisham Abbey. We welcome medical staff from parent clubs and organisations to attend these appointments .

Price £100 (80 minute appointment)

Professional Athlete Rehabilitation

Led by Luke Anthony and working with our interdisciplinary team we offer various rehabilitation options for professional athletes. Our programme incorporates all the requirements of a rehabilitating athlete including physiotherapy assessment and treatment, rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy and strength & conditioning. This all takes place in our state of the art facility. Hotel accommodation can also be provided.

Luke Anthony | Clinical Director & Physiotherapist at GoPerform

Luke Anthony

Clinical Director & Physiotherapy

Luke is a highly respected MSK Physiotherapist with 19 years of experience working full time in professional sport. Having qualified from Kings College London in 1996 he went on to work at The Royal London Hospital before joining Watford football club going on to lead the medical department.  

He obtained a Masters degree in Sports Physiotherapy from University College London before moving on to work as first team physiotherapist at Gloucester Rugby. Luke joined Reading FC in 2007 where he became Head of Sports Medicine.  His most recent role was with Norwich City as Injury Prevention Specialist.  

Dan Buchanan | Soft Tissue & Performance Therapy at GoPerform

Dan Buchanan

Soft Tissue & Performance Therapy

Dan is an experienced Soft Tissue Therapist. He has 15 years of experience working across a variety of sports, including Rugby, Hockey, Ice Hockey and most recently with Reading FC and Derby County FC.

After completing his Sport Rehabilitation degree in 2003 he went on to develop a specialism in soft tissue and performance therapy. He enjoys the challenge of working with a range of people from elite athletes through to individuals living with pain and chronic health conditions. As a Regional Director of the SMA he is committed to improving the quality of Soft Tissue Therapy provision in the UK.

Tristan Baker | Head of Performance at GoPerform

Tristan Baker

Head of Performance

Tristan heads up our athletic performance department, he is a Loughborough University sports science graduate with an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from St Mary's University. 

Tristan has coached national and international athletes competing in Football, Formula 1, Athletics and Lacrosse as well as amateurs and professionals in Mixed Martial Arts, Rugby and Tennis. He is an accredited member of the UK Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Alan Hazlett

Alan Hazlett

Physiotherapist

Alan is an experienced Sports Physiotherapist with an additional MSc in Sports Injury Rehabilitation. His early career was in professional football before moving into various sports fields. Over the past few years Alan has worked with the English Institute of Sport and British Athletics which has seen him travel the world to competitions and training camps for GB elite sprint, hurdles and middle distance runners. 

Most recently he has worked with GB Hockey and the Intensive Rehabilitation Unit at Bisham Abbey. Alongside his Physiotherapy qualifications Alan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has a practical approach to injury management and health. 

Alan will be continuing his work in elite sport alongside his role at GoPerform.
